31.10~3.11.2024 HIROSHIMA-JAPAN BUSINESS TRIP DIARY

Originating from the desire of Takeuchi Kinji Chairman, Takeuchi Corporation organized an event that brought together employees from the entire corporation for 3 days from October 31st to November 2nd, 2024, with the purpose of creating an environment for employees to interact, understand each other, learn from each other, break down barriers of language and culture, build solidarity, and ignite motivation towards the new dreams of the corporation.

We want to write down this business trip diary as a memento and mark one of the biggest events of Takeuchi Corporation in 2024.

Thursday, October 31st, 2024

• Hanoi - Hiroshima

Approximately 4.5 hours after departure, the group of employees of Vina Takeuchi Co., Ltd, consisting of 30 members, landed at Hiroshima Airport.
Beyond our expectation, the Chairman came to the airport to welcome and inquire about our well-being. We understand how much the Chairman cares for us.

• Visiting the construction site of the new headquarters

From the airport, we moved to Mihara city, where the main headquarters of the Group is located.
This is an advertisement board for the exclusive TNF technology of Takeuchi Group placed on the main street of Mihara, as seen from the train.

We made first stop at the construction site of the future headquarters, named Sakura-yama. Here, the stone wall construction has been completed. This stone wall is made of the most durable and highest-quality stone in Japan, constructed by a renowned team of experts who have undertaken major projects in Japan. The stone wall is a symbol that carries the dream of longevity and is a pride of Takeuchi Group.

• Visiting the main headquarters of Takeuchi Construction Inc.

Leaving Sakura-yama, our group headed straight to headquarters. The Chairman of Takeuchi Group, members of the board of directors, and the Managing Director of Takeuchi Construction Inc. welcomed us.
The Chairman led our group to departments to meet and listen to a brief presentation on the work content of each department, and to hear the experiences as well as thoughts of Vietnamese employees working there.

The Chairman of the Corporation explaining the deep meaning of the stone wall at the construction site of the future headquarters, expressing his belief that it will last for a thousand years, just as he expects Takeuchi Group to endure and thrive, placing expectations on each member of the Group.

In the morning, we moved to Setoda city to visit Kousanji Temple and the Hill of Hope.

During lunchtime, we stopped to have lunch and do some quick shopping in Onomichi tourist city.
In the afternoon, we attended the Quarterly Meeting of the entire Group. During the meeting, the financial report for the first half of the fiscal year, which achieved the annual target of the Group, was presented. This is a very encouraging achievement, demonstrating the great potential for the development of the Group.

In part 2 of the meeting, each department reported on the progress of their goals and received feedback from other departments. Vina Takeuchi was honored to have made significant contributions to achieving its goals and the goals of other departments within the Group.
External officials invited to the meeting also sent their congratulations for the outstanding achievements of the Group, praised the youth and contributions of Vina Takeuchi, and expressed their belief that the Group will continue to grow.
After the meeting, the guests and all employees of the Group gathered for a dinner. Conversations and interactions were opened up. People gradually became more harmonious and understanding of each other. The dinner ended with a dramatic game of rock-paper-scissors, with a prize of up to 50,000 yen for the final winner. Fortunately, Vina Takeuchi’s employee won that prize.

Thus, the activities of the second day concluded with lots of good news and joy.

In the morning, the entire Group participated in a study session to reinforce the Takeuchi Way Corporate Culture of the Group. The business philosophy and the 5 business principles that all employees recite together before starting work everyday were once again reiterated and explained. Through this study session, the Chairman hopes that each employee will remember and understand the core values of the Group, so that every member can see their role and responsibility in maintaining and developing the Group for thousands of years.

Next was group discussion activity, where employees from corresponding departments of companies within the Group formed groups. The members in each group exchanged information about their department's work, discussed issues that needed advice, shared their achievements, and introduced their projects. The purpose of the discussion was to foster relationships and enhance information exchange and support among employees working in the same departments across the companies within the Group. After the discussion, each group summarized the content exchanged and presented it to receive feedback and contributions.

In the afternoon, the bond among the members grew stronger through team-building activities.
The icebreaker game required everyone in the same group to remember each other's names and departments.

A game of passing messages using pictures. Although the result was far from the original message, it created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

A game of moving a ball on a balance board into a basket. This game required high unity and concentration.

Lastly, a game of creating models of the exclusive foundation types of the Group using paper. This was the most visual way for members who were not in the construction engineering field to have a clear understanding of the different types of foundations.

In the evening, the entire Group’s employees had an intimate dinner together. By this time, faces had become more familiar and closer. Vina Takeuchi's employees kicked off the program with a dance performance and singing the song "Travel around Viet Nam". The red costumes with yellow stars stood out among the audience, symbolizing the thirst of Vina Takeuchi in training talents, constantly striving, demonstrating the courage and responsibility of the Vietnamese people. We would like to thank Takeuchi Construction Inc. for always welcoming, valuing, nurturing, and creating opportunities for each Vietnamese employee to grow, not only in Vietnam but also in Japan.

Bingo game took place during the party, adding laughter to the celebration.

At the end of the party, everyone held hands and sang together the song "We are the world."

After a breakfast time, we visited Sankei Park for sightseeing and took commemorative photos.

At noon, we moved to Hiroshima Airport to return to Vietnam. The Managing Director of Takeuchi Construction Inc. was present to see us off.

The business trip to Hiroshima was a great success, creating many opportunities for connection and collaboration among employees and departments within the Group. We sincerely thank Takeuchi Construction Inc. for their warm welcome and positive cooperation. We will continue to make efforts to build cooperative relationships, learn from each other, apply the knowledge gained to our daily work, and contribute to improving the efficiency and quality of our business.
